There must be another inteligent life form, space is big so we can't be only anomaly, but I think seeking them isn't good idea. What did we know? They can be danger for Earth, maybe they have different type of communication, or maybe we are just their project... Better is just wait, they come to us, or when we have better spaceships (and guns) we can go seek them.
