Well basically I'm often forced to use thing like Google Doc to open and save files like docx. because if you'd give our teachers at university your work in something else than that, you could have a problem, because they have only Office.
Most people - and not only at schools - use MS Office. Why is it so? Often I ask them. They say they know no OO. So that's the reason. The modern OO is of similar quality like MS Office, but for the license of MS Office you pay 5-10 000 Kc, OO is free-of-charge.
